Two Key Success Skills - Take Action Now And Be Bold Enough To Talk
I am writing this article to cement two key success skills in my own mind as well as yours. They are so important that they are worth thinking about every single day.
Mike Chen, the twenty year old internet guru, and Mark Joyner, his mentor both agree that the 'ability to take immediate powerful action' is more important than any other skill to achieve success on the internet.
They argue that it is better to have a mediocre plan today than a perfect plan tomorrow. Obviously a perfect plan will achieve more but too often people fail to act while they are busy thinking of the perfect plan or simply waiting for it to come to them.
People will often wait for the 'best' day to start taking action on some project or other. The best day is today. Give yourself permission to start today. You don't have to wait and if, for some good reason, you do have to wait, start taking action on something else while you are waiting. This will put you on the fast track to achieving your goals.
A poor plan executed fairly well is a success. All we need to do is act and not waste time worrying about whether we are doing the right thing.
Every moment you are thinking: "Are we doing the right thing?" you are not doing things and are not getting results. If you are not getting results (good or bad) you are going nowhere.
What if your plan does not work? You will be no worse off and you will, like Edison, have discovered another path to avoid. If, like Edison, you do not give up, you will eventually succeed.
Mark Joyner states (and I agree) that amazing things happen when you start taking action. "People and mighty forces will come to your aid."
You may be thinking: "It's too late; I should have taken action ten years ago." Mark suggests getting into your time machine and moving ten years into the future. In ten years time will you be looking back to today and wishing you had taken action today? You and I have another chance. Today can be the first day of the next ten action packed years.
Some people get pleasure from just thinking about doing something. How much more pleasure would they get if they added action to their dreams?
The whole world is full of dreamers who are always waiting for something to happen before they get started on that path to make things happen. If you wait for some one else to inspire you to start, you are putting your future in the hands of someone else. That is not a good idea. What if they don't arrive?
Many Jacobites waited wistfully for Bonnie Prince Charlie to return before they would take action. He never did. He was over the sea in France and never returned to claim his kingdom.
I am a classic 'wait till later' person. I even delay listening to audios that I know will teach me key skills. I fail to watch videos that will bring me success. That is why I need this article as much as any one else. Action can be something as simple as taking out a video about internet marketing or whatever and watching it carefully.
Another great success tip is this: "Be bold enough to talk to people - to network." Of course people may ignore you or even slap you in the face but if you talk boldly and with confidence that is unlikely.
You will feel good after you have spoken up. I remember years ago standing on a bench in the dinner hall of Pembroke College, Cambridge and suggesting to the amazed undergraduate diners that they take the words of Jesus about his second coming seriously. Some people did not like this but to my surprise, many did and I had a full house at my bible study group the following week.
More importantly, when I look back on my days at Cambridge, this one action is the one I am most glad I took. I have seldom felt so good.
If you are bold enough to risk rejection you will be able to network and leverage the skills and support of other people. Whatever happens, you will feel good about taking bold action.
Action must often take place in the face of criticism and negativity. Just don't quit and you will usually be proved right in the end.
So then, don't just sit there and wait for something good to happen. Take action and make it happen. Create your plan or system and start doing it and doing it until a better plan comes to mind.
Be bold and speak to people without fear. The worst they can do is say "No." You and I may be surprised by how often they will say "Yes."

The very first "motivational speaker" I heard as an adult was a gentleman named Mort Utley. I experienced his speech in May of 1989 in Nashville, Tennessee, at the end of a week of Sales School with the Southwestern Company. I was 19 years old and had just finished my freshman year at the University of Wisconsin, and Mr. Utley's speech was the final component of my formal training to sell educational books door-to-door for the summer. I was absolutely coming out of my skin with an indescribable combination of intense excitement and great fear. Mort Utley's speech made one of the most "un-motivational" statements I had ever heard. He said:
The Winner Walk
The Winner's Walk is a key strategy in the sport of life/business. When you meet somebody new, your perception of the person and what you feel about them is based 93% on body language. When you walk like a Winner, people will feel your presence and know you have something to offer. We all know people who are always filled with confidence and walk like they have just won a Gold Medal in the Olympics.

If You Compare, Beware!
Picture this scene: Little Johnny's mother places a large piece of chocolate cake on his plate. He's pretty happy with it -- until he glances over at his brother's portion and notices that it's even bigger than his own. Suddenly Johnny is no longer satisfied with what he got. He starts to pout and complain, and may even resort to throwing his cake on the floor.

Tracking Success With A Goal Tracking Chart
Creating a goal tracking chart is as simple as drawing a basic grid or table. Create as many vertical columns as you have goals to include, and include a horizontal row for every sub-goal or milestone you wish to divide your goals into, plus one row on top for your "Finish By" date and one row below for your goal heading or title. [Hint: Creating a goal tracking chart poster-sized on inexpensive and brightly colored poster board ensures visibility and accountability!]
10 Tips on How to Get the Best from Changing Situations
It can be great to do something new 'for a change', when it's your choice. It's fun then. But when it comes up on you from out of the blue, when you're least expecting it, it's something very different. So, here are a few things you can do.
What Makes One Person Succeed While Someone Else Fails
What characteristics are common among successful people. If you analyze the success stories of history, business or your own personal experience you'll find similar habits and patterns among successful people. You'll find these people to be persistent, hard-working, continually educating themselves and able to adapt to certain situations. You've heard the old adage don't work harder work smarter or you've heard the one the exceptional salesman makes a habit of doing what the ordinary salesman doesn't do. These two saying are fine but you need to remember each of them says simply if you want to make it you will have to do more than the next person. Please keep in mind this does not require you to become a slave to your own business or organization.
Three Proven Ways To Leverage the Big Power of Small Changes
Successful people set ambitious goals. But the high standards and lofty visions necessary for great success can sometimes be daunting. You may want to run a marathon, lose 50 pounds, or build a business empire, but you may quickly find yourself overwhelmed if you mentally focus on such ambitious goals.
Succeed By Looking Forward
We all want something to look forward to. The best way to attract it into our lives is to look forward to it. By looking into the future with expectation and hope we are more likely to work with energy and even excitement to make that great future come true.

Success or Bust!
We've all been driving down the road and seen those infamous signs in the back of all types of automobiles that say something like "Disneyland or Bust". What does this mean? Basically, it means that those people are on their way to Disneyland and they will do absolutely anything no matter how much money, time or gas that they waste. They will get to Disneyland or BUST (go broke, run out of gas, waste too much time) trying to get there.
Opening Your Unlimited Potential
It is high time you know the truth about yourselves. You can be whatever you desire, you can do whatever you think or imagine. You have the magic key in your pocket, which opens the door to all your highest dreams and wishes, the key which opens the gates of prosperity and abundance beyond your imagination.
Overcoming The Fear Of Money
Many people, it seems, have a fear of money. Does the thought of having a lot of money make you uncomfortable? Cause you anxiety? If so, it may be that you are buying into the myths about money. Myths that are simply untrue. In fact, many of the most common statements about money are often misquoted, wrong, or were made by people who did not understand money ... or had none.
