Mastering The Habits Of Success

The difference between success and failure is based on behavior. Successful people adopt certain behaviors that help them move in the direction that they desire. Unsuccessful people do not adopt a specific behavior set and tend to drift through life.

Here are a few success habits that I have noticed used by successful people. Building these habits into your nervous system will help you to achieve success

Keeping things neat, clean, and organized.

When there is dirt, clutter, and chaos, confusion develops. Not only do you spend time looking for things or sorting through things, you also have to deal with the frustration of forgetting to do important tasks. Order is essential to progress.

Taking action.

The action that is taken is actually threefold. It is first, mental action. Seeing, feeling, and believing in the goal. The second action, preparation. This is a time for study, practice, or researching what needs to be done. And the third action, is, of course, physical. Here the goal is acted upon directly because there is a clear vision, understanding of implementation, and the will to take effort.

Placing priorities.

Since time and energy are limited, a huge goal list often means that not a single one will be done. The best way to make rapid progress is to break the list into four essential goals. Once these are achieved, you can work on the next four on your huge list. Often people desiring to change every aspect of their lives take on too much, with the result that they quickly become overwhelmed and then tend to drop everything.

Seeking mutual victory.

The idea of competition is not often a healthy one. Cooperation is a much higher ideal. The win-lose dynamics may be fine for sports, but, in real life, things are often too complex to gain much from dominance. A win-win arrangement is preferable.

Understanding and empathy.

When we understand where someone is coming from, it's much easier to create rapport and harmony and come to a win-win outcome. Often we try to impress upon others our view before understanding what is happening with them. Assumptions are usually erroneous and only lead to failure for everyone concerned.

These are just a few habit traits which if you adopt will make your life easier.

Of course, you have to tailor everything according to what works for you. But the main thing is to become aware that success is not an accident, but a way of acting with conscious, willful intent.

Success is not some elusive experience. It's simply a question of implementing the right mindset.
